The challenge:
Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía is part of the select list of companies participating in the largest European Defence project, the Future Air Combat System. Three countries, a dozen companies and an investment that can exceed 100 billion euros.
The level of complexity of this project is something never seen before. The company needed to have in a single site a complete traceability of millions of requirements and tests that must be validated for their correct interoperability. All this, in addition to complying with industry standards and ensuring accurate communication with other companies.
What did we do?:
In order to get the most out of the tool, our specialists helped Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía to make the initial set-up of the tool to adapt it to their work dynamics.
The deployment of the IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS family of software tools was deployed to manage and automate engineering requirements, lifecycles, workflow and testing within a security-robust environment.
In addition, Itera consultants helped Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía streamline decision-making by implementing the IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization — Publishing module, with which engineering data is analyzed, visualized and published in a single view.
“We have placed the document templates in Publishing and it directly generates the document that we have to deliver to the client, in the format they require. What used to take us about four hours to launch, now takes us only two to six minutes. Thanks to Itera’s help, we have found something we had, but we were not exploiting,” says Juan Ramón Molina, head of Processes, Methods and Tools at Tecnobit-Grupo Oesía.
